About us

Shara-Gzamsheni Pirveli LLC is a construction company with roots going back to 1958. It builds and rehabilitates roads, bridges, riverbank protection structures, administrative buildings and sports facilities across Georgia.

History

  1. 1958

    Road Construction and Repair Department No. 1, one of the company's predecessors, was founded.

  2. 2005

    Shara-Gzamsheni Pirveli LLC was formed on the basis of Shara-2000 LLC (former Khobi Road Department) and Gzamsheni 1 LLC.

  3. 2011

    The company began actively taking part in state electronic tenders.

  4. Today

    More than 160 tenders won, with our own plants, quarries and machinery.

Givi Shengelia

Founder

Givi Shengelia

Givi Shengelia is the founder of Shara-Gzamsheni Pirveli LLC and a civil engineer with more than 45 years of experience in road construction. He remains actively involved in managing the company.

He graduated from the Georgian Polytechnic Institute in 1980, specialising in the construction of underground structures, and in 1990 from the Georgian Technical University, specialising in highway construction and qualifying as a road engineer.

He began his career in 1980 with road construction enterprises, working on sites in Gagra, Khobi and other towns. From 1990 to 2002 he served as chief engineer and director of Khobi Road Department No. 1. In 2000 he founded Shara-2000 LLC and led it until 2005.

In 2005 he founded Shara-Gzamsheni Pirveli LLC on the basis of Shara-2000 LLC and Gzamsheni 1 LLC. Today the company builds and rehabilitates infrastructure across Georgia.
